Overview
FWPCOT3301 Trim trees using a pole saw covers the skills and knowledge required to safely plan, prepare for and carry out tree trimming operations using a power-driven pole saw, and to complete routine operator maintenance on the equipment. The unit includes hazard identification, safe work practices, selecting appropriate PPE, and working in accordance with workplace procedures and current WHS legislation.
This unit applies to individuals who operate pole saws to trim tree branches as part of arboriculture, forestry, agriculture, conservation and land management, local government, emergency services and other government agency operations.
