Overview
CPC32920 Certificate III in Construction Crane Operations reflects the role of individuals working in crane operations in the building and construction industry. The qualification covers core skills and knowledge for the construction industry, a choice of units for specific crane licences, and elective units that include additional licensing options. Due to the high-risk nature of the job role, the qualification provides a strong focus on safety.
This qualification is suited to individuals seeking to work as licensed crane operators across construction, civil and engineering environments. Delivered via blended learning, combining face-to-face practical sessions with online distance components, participants develop the hands-on and theoretical skills required to perform crane operations safely and in compliance with all relevant legislative and licensing requirements.
On successful completion, participants receive the nationally recognised CPC32920 Certificate III in Construction Crane Operations from Forky Stick Training and Safety Consultants (RTO #45802).
Licensing and regulatory information: This is a licensed occupation. Completion of this qualification, or the relevant units within it, is required to apply for High Risk Work Licences (HRWL) for crane operations in Queensland. Licence classes available through this qualification include Non-Slewing Mobile Crane (CN), Slewing Mobile Crane up to 20 Tonnes (C2) and Slewing Mobile Crane up to 60 Tonnes (C6). Candidates must complete the relevant National Assessment Instrument (NAI) and apply to the Office of Industrial Relations Queensland for their licence. Licence fees apply, visit worksafe.qld.gov.au for current fees. Completion of CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card) is required before undertaking any face-to-face construction work components.
