Overview
CPCCLDG3001 Licence to perform dogging is the nationally recognised unit of competency required to obtain a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) for dogging in Australia. Completing this unit qualifies participants to apply for a Dogging licence (class DG) through the relevant state or territory regulator.
Dogging involves the application of slinging techniques to move a load, including the selection and inspection of lifting gear, and the directing of a plant operator in the movement of a load when the load is out of sight of the operator. Dogging work is performed across construction, mining, manufacturing, and other industries where loads are lifted and moved using cranes or hoists.
Training is delivered through a blended approach combining online self-paced theory with face-to-face practical components. Upon successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for CPCCLDG3001 Licence to perform dogging from Forky Stick Training and Safety Consultants (RTO #45802).
Once candidates are deemed competent, they may undertake the National Assessment Instrument (NAI) for the High Risk Work Licence in the class of DG. Once assessed as competent in all NAI requirements, a Candidate Assessment Summary will be issued, allowing the candidate to apply for a High Risk Work Licence through the relevant state regulator.
