Entry requirements
This is a refresher course. Participants must have previously completed MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres and hold a Statement of Attainment for it. Many sites also require a current confined space competency (such as RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces) before gas testing is performed. Contact us on 07 4922 1060 if you are unsure whether this refresher is appropriate for you.
Overview
MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres (Online Refresher) is designed for workers who have previously completed MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmospheres and need to refresh and revalidate their knowledge of atmospheric hazards, gas detection equipment, result interpretation and response procedures.
Delivered fully online and self-paced, this refresher suits safety officers, supervisors, permit officers and operations personnel across Queensland who have previously completed MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres and need to maintain currency for site access or role compliance.
On successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres from Forky Stick Training and Safety Consultants (RTO #45802).
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. Many sites require a current confined space competency before gas testing is performed, confirm requirements with your workplace before enrolling.
