Overview

MSMPER300 Issue work permits covers the skills and knowledge required to issue work permits in industrial and process environments. The unit addresses understanding the permit system and the limitations of each permit type, making decisions about when a permit is required, preparing the job site, raising and authorising permits, monitoring compliance, managing end-of-day handovers, and closing permits on completion of work.

This unit applies to personnel required to issue permits to work in environments where hazards exist or where specific procedures need to be followed and monitored to protect the safety of personnel and the integrity of plant or process. It is relevant across mining, resources, process manufacturing, oil and gas, chemical processing and other industrial sectors.

Delivered via blended learning, combining online theory with a face-to-face practical training and assessment day, this course is suited to supervisors, leading hands, permit officers and operations personnel across Queensland responsible for issuing and managing work permits on site.

On successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for MSMPER300 Issue work permits from Forky Stick Training and Safety Consultants (RTO #45802).

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. Site-specific or employer permit requirements may vary, confirm with your workplace before enrolling.
