How a High Risk Work Licence works

  1. Train with us

Theory (online or in the room) then hands-on time on real plant at our Rockhampton yard, in small classes.

  2. Get assessed

Show you're competent and you receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment from Forky Stick, RTO 45802.

  3. Apply to WHSQ

Only the licence units (titled "Licence to...", such as CPCCLDG3001 Licence to perform dogging) include the High Risk Work Licence assessment. If you're assessed as competent you then apply to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland. Completing a unit alone does not issue a licence.

Real cranes. Real heights.

This is the yard you'll train in. Thirty-six seconds of a rigging and dogging course, from the air.

Built for mines, councils, contractors and labour hire across Central Queensland. Tell us the roles and the deadline and we'll plan it.

Do I walk out with my High Risk Work Licence?

No. Completing a unit does not automatically issue a licence. Once you're assessed as competent you receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment from Forky Stick (RTO 45802). Only the licence units (titled "Licence to...", for example CPCCLDG3001 Licence to perform dogging) include the High Risk Work Licence assessment; if you're assessed as competent in it, you then apply for the licence through Workplace Health and Safety Queensland. Units such as RIIHAN208E Perform dogging do not lead to a licence.

Do I need a USI?

Yes. Every student doing nationally recognised training in Australia needs a Unique Student Identifier. It's free and takes a few minutes at usi.gov.au. Bring it when you enrol so your results can be issued.

Some courses have prerequisites. How do I know?

Where a course has entry requirements, they're shown near the top of its page and under Delivery and requirements. For example, the Basic Rigging Licence (CPCCLRG3001) needs dogging (CPCCLDG3001) first, and the Intermediate Rigging Licence (CPCCLRG3002) needs basic rigging. If you're not sure where to start, ring us and we'll point you to the right pathway.

Can you train our whole crew, on our site?

Yes, where the unit, equipment and site allow it. We run closed groups, staged programs and workplace delivery across Central Queensland. Use the company booking form or call us to plan it.
